Hi, I'm Cathie

I’m a risk-averse, slightly paranoid, overthinking accountant who ironically loves to travel. I know, not exactly the characteristics of a typical traveler. I can’t explain it, but travel is the one area in my life where I’m okay getting out of my comfort zone and going anyway.

In my 20s, I traveled with my partner and friends, but as I approached my 30s, travel got a little trickier to navigate. I could go solo, but solo traveling didn’t appeal to me. I didn’t feel young or social enough for hostels, and just the thought of going alone for extended periods of time stressed me out.

That is when I started researching small group travel. I had my own doubts and reservations about group travel, but the alternative was to go alone, so in 2018 I got out of my comfort zone and booked my first group tour – and it changed everything.

Thirteen trips later, I’ve witnessed the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti, ate my way through Vietnam, took a boat ride straight into Iguazu Falls, soared over the Great Barrier Reef in a six-seater plane, and watched the sun rise from a hot-air balloon over Cappadocia..

I don’t say all this to brag. I say it because I want to show you what is possible when you stop waiting and take the leap. For me, group travel has allowed me to see places I always dreamed of and so many places I never expected to visit.

I created this space to share my unfiltered travel stories and pictures to give some perspective on what group travel is like. And perhaps inspire you to book that trip you’ve been putting off.
